Kynseker  recorders

The scale of Mollenhauer Kynseker recorders vary from the Garklein recorder in C‘‘‘ to the Great bass in C (alto available in F‘ and G‘)

Smallpipes

Based on the hummelchen smallpipes found in drawings by Praetorius, these early smallpipes are easy to play. The parallel bored chanter plays in the key of D, while the two drones play in D and A. They have a muted tone entirely suitable for both indoor use or use with other instruments.

Moeck crumhorns

Moeck's historical instrument studio produce an impressive range of crumhorns which were originally designed by Otto Steinkopf. These crumhorns use cane reeds and all sizes have two upward extension keys. Available from soprano to great bass, each instrument except great bass comes in an attractive fitted carrying case. Available are:

Rauschpfeifen by Moeck 

Dark stained maple with a cane reed. two part instruments with mouthpiece and enclosed reed.A loud or rather strident instrument capped double reed as in a crumhorn or cornamuse. Suitable for playing indoors or outdoors.

The Chalumeau was a forerunner to the clarinet in having a single controlled reed. Reputedly invented by the Denner dynasty who perfected a clarinet for the classical orchestra, but more likely from an earlier background.Moeck produce an excellent range of chalumeaux at a=440.

Available are a sopranino in f’, soprano in c’, alto in f or tenor in c and can have one or two keys at the upper end.

Loriman Pipe .... Alto Cornamuse

This instrument is walnut with Treble recorder fingering, a capped reed giving that distinctive buzzy medieval tone. Newly available, as you can see this Christmas!  The reed is totally enclosed inside the mouthpiece so that your mouth does not touch it.  Does not need as much puff as a Bombarde, and will allow you to play a wide range of medieval and renaissance music. Easy to play and great fun. come with soft case.

 Cornamuse by Moeck

The cornamuse is a windcap instrument which resembles a straight crumhorn. Both instruments have the same range but the cornamuse has a slightly softer sound due to its closed bell allowing it to blend well with other instruments such as recorders.
