Today we tend to think of the panpipes as a primarily South American Instrument, but it's lineage is far wider with Pan pipes being popular from the classical world onwards. In the middle ages the curved wooden panpipes, along with other forms was popular with the travelling minstrels or Troubadours.
European made, these pan pipes are constructed of impregnated mountain maple. Range c2-g3

The Sistrum or Systrum is a ceremonial instrument from the ancient Mediterranean although still used in various forms in Africa. This example is based upon the Nefartiti example illustrated below. They can be made with metal or brass jingles in a variety of finished. Suitable for use, in different formats, for Ancient Greek, Roman, or Ancient Egyptian living history.
The one illustrated is currently in use at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.
