| Morillo symphony Chromatic
The symphony is the earliest example of a ‘wheel-bowed' instrument, the best known of which is the hurdy gurdy. Like the hurdy gurdy it is played by turning a rosined wheel but the symphony's wheel is much smaller as it is totally enclosed within the rectangular body of the instrument. The body also acts as the tangent box and houses the soundboard and strings making it an extremely compact instrument. Excellent range of symphonies from the worskhops of Morillo-Dolcini. Two models are available, a chromatic symphony and a diatonic symphony. Please ring to discuss availability and prices. Diatonic start at £ 1150 Chromatic Start at £1230 |
