| The Sistrum or Systrum is a ceremonial instrument from the ancient Mediterranean although still used in various forms in Africa. This example is based upon the Nefartiti example illustrated below. They can be made with metal or brass jingles in a variety of finished. Suitable for use, in different formats, for Ancient Greek, Roman, or Ancient Egyptian living history.
The one illustrated is currently in use at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. Please inquire for ordering lead time approx 6 weeks. |
