A new design of harp from Busy Mole Harps, and is very portable, and easy to learn and play. Based on the Roman and Greek instruments, the Lyre produces a bright sound and is ideal for beginners or re-enactors. Also available with gut stings at extra cost, please order separately, see below. The lyre although normally associated with the classical period was played up to and into medieval times and continued in common use in the Byzantine Empire The Lyre shown was used in the BBC Ancient Rome Series. | |
